Thomas Parkin is my Gt Gt Grandfather bap at Horbury Church 31 Aug 1828 died 19 May 1897 he married Ann Bevers born 18 June 1820 died 30 Sep 1885 at St Side Ossett

They are both buried in North Ossett Church Yard

Ann Bevers daur of Isaac Bevers and Sarah Chapel daur of William Chapel and Martha Allott

Charlotte 21 Jan 1853 died 26 Dec 1932 a widow of almost 50 yrs she had by the Will of her father Thomas a bequest of 12 Houses in Street Side Ossett she sent my Grandmother Hilda to Private School , & Finishing School where she learnt to ride Side Saddle & to play the Piano & Violin

William 1854 I find living in Gomersall

Mary Ann 7 Aug 1865 married Joseph Hunter his son was sent by Charlotte Parkin to Oxford Univesity. The Hunters,later moved down South, I wrote to the address used by Charlotte to no avail, also 2 children died young

Charlotte Parkin married 3 Oct 1877 at Wellington St Chapel Dewsbury. Charles Cooper born 29 June 1852 died 1 March 1887 from result of an accident

Hilda Cooper was the only child born 1 June 1879 died 2 March 1955 at St Pauls Rd Shipley she married James Henry Wilkinson 1906 at School Street Chapel Low Moor of Wibsey Bradford

Children were Alec Bevers Wilkinson born 1907 and married Lily Fearnley daur of George Fearnley and Cathrine Harrogon who was from Ireland.

Mary Wilkinson my Mother born 22 Sep 1932 at 2 Fountain St Low Moor of Wibsey Bradford, died 5 Mar 1988 she married William Tompkins my Father 29 Oct 1932 at Christ Church Windhill Shipley he was born at St Ives Bingley 25 Nov 1911 died 7 Feb

1978, son of Joaeph Tompkins and Nellie May Spencer

Mackinder (note) The Tompkins Family came from Stagsden in Bedfordshire and the Mackinder came from Hundlby in Linconshire)

William and Mary Tompkins died at Wrose Shipley and their Ashes were placed in the Grave of my fathers baby brother Alfred Tompkins,(he died 1918 from the War Flue) at FollyFoot Church in the Village of FollyFoot, nr Ridge House Panel, where my Grandfather Joseph Tompkins was Farm Bailiff to William Gaunt Gentleman
Farmer.
